RSK Brickwork

Building Work

When you’re looking to build something from the ground up, whether that’s a family home, extension or commercial space, quality brickwork forms the very backbone of your project.

From foundations to decorative details, every brick laid lays the groundwork for a structure that lasts.

Our Building Services

Foundation Walls & Groundwork

  • We lay strip footings in concrete (typically C20 or higher), sized to support the wall load and ground conditions, from single-skin garden walls to full structural external walls.
  • Depending on the wall height or ground stability, foundations may include reinforcement or wider footings to spread the load evenly.

Exterior Wall Construction

  • We build external walls using cavity, insulated cavity, or solid brick/block construction as needed, with inner block walling and outer brick for thermal performance.
  • Bricks are laid in precise bond patterns. Stretcher, English or Flemish Bond, depending on design requirements, with consistent joint spacing and workmanship.
  • We carefully cut or arrange bricks around window and door openings, integrating lintels and cavity trays to ensure weather protection and stability.

Decorative & Feature Brickwork

  • We specialise in adding architectural details such as arches, soldier or rowlock courses, corbelled reveals, corbelling, cornices and patterned brickwork to give character and distinction.
  • Using different fibres of brick, handmade, wire-cut, waterstruck or reclaimed, we tailor the finish to match the existing style of the property or the style that you desire if it’s a fresh build.

Other Structural & Practical Work

  • Installation of lintels above openings, wall ties in cavity walls, damp proof courses (DPC), and cavity trays to meet UK building regulation standards.
  • Load-bearing wall builds or reinforced masonry where structural engineer specifications are required.
